The Center works on initiatives led by Arab youth to create opportunities that allow youth to contribute to national efforts and endeavors aimed at sustainable development. Youth represent the majority in Arab societies and this creates great energy that is harnessed to solidify the belief in a better future. The Center also publishes annual reports and studies revolving around Arab youth as well as organizing an annual agenda of events and programs dedicated to them around the world.

Arab Youth Media

The strategic Young Arab Media Leaders program represents one component of the Arab Youth Media Initiative. It is designed with the objective of developing an empowered generation of young media professionals and influencers.

Youth circle

Youth Circles initiative governed by Emirates Youth Council and Launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai to inspire youth-centric dialogue across a variety of areas for sustainable engagement with Youth to shape innovative solutions for global challenges.

Sudanese Youth Forum

The Sudanese Youth Forum is the largest assembly of Sudanese youth and the first of its kind in the Republic of Sudan. It aims to harness the talent and energy of youth who are eager to take part in shaping their own future and designing a strategy in which they work hand in hand for a better tomorrow.

Arab Youth Startup

The Arab Youth Startup Marketplace is an event organized by the Arab Youth Center, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

Arab Youth

The Arab Youth Forum is considered the first event for Arab youth held over the course of three days, and aims to bring together bright young Arab minds to discuss their dreams and shape a better future for their countries and the Arab world together.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour was appointed as Minister of Presidential Affairs in 2004 after ‎merging of the Presidential Court and the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

H.E. Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrui

Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrui was appointed as the UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs in the Cabinet reshuffle announced in February 2016 at the age of 22. HE Shamma is also the Chair of the Emirates Youth Council.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour was appointed as Minister of Presidential Affairs in 2004 after ‎merging of the Presidential Court and the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. In 2006, he has ‎been assigned to chair the Ministerial Development Council, the Emirates Investment ‎Authority in 2007. He also chairs the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department since 2006, The National ‎Archives in 2000, Abu Dhabi Development Fund in 2005, and Board of Abu Dhabi Food ‎Control Authority in 2005.‎

His Highness Sheikh Mansour chairs a number of local entities in Abu Dhabi which play ‎indispensable roles in boosting the position of the UAE such as Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ‎Foundation in 2007, Board of International Petroleum Investment Company as well as ‎holding positions of Vice President of Abu Dhabi Education Council in 2005, Deputy ‎Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee, Member of the Supreme Petroleum ‎Council, and board member of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority since 2005.‎

He announced the Arab youth center during the world government summit 2017 highlighting the importance of providing scholarships, projects, studies and reports about the Arab youth.

H.E. Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrui

Vice Chair

Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrui was appointed as the UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs in the Cabinet reshuffle announced in February 2016 at the age of 22. HE Shamma is also the Chair of the Emirates Youth Council.

Her work focuses on ensuring the voice of Youth is strategically positioned to lead Youth into the future in all facets of UAE government and life, ensuring all ministries and decision-makers are incorporating youth needs into the policies they create. She has proactively made strides to connect Youth and leadership in the UAE with a proactive National Youth Strategy, a strategy that is led by the voice of youth and data.

H.E. Shamma is a member of the Education and Human Resources Council of the UAE Cabinet – a council focused on hammering out quick solutions for the sector based on the situation of the labor market. H.E. Shamma is a board member of Emirates Foundation, an independent philanthropic organization that facilitates public-private partnerships to create programs that support improving youth welfare across the UAE.

She is also a member of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Committee that aims to apply the UAE’s fourth industrial revolution strategy and supervise its implementation across key sectors in the economy through regulations and policies that support the strategy. H.E. Shamma is a Vice Chair of the Community and Legacy Committee of the UAE Special Olympics World Games (2019). She is also chair of the board of the Special Olympics UAE, an independent and robust organization that is focused on building a legacy for Special Olympics athletes who are citizens and residents of the UAE. She is a member of the Higher National Council of the Year of Zayed (2018), as well as a member of the Higher National Council of the Year of Giving (2017).

H.E. is also a sector coordinator of the youth file at the Annual Government Meetings, a national annual meeting focused on engaging and coordinating across sectors both private and public in aims of developing policies that fulfil the goals outlined in Vision 2021 and 2071.

She is a member of the advisory committee of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020, as well as a board member of the international Institute of Tolerance.

Previously, H.E. Shamma worked in Private Equity at one of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth funds. She also previously worked as a public policy analyst at the UAE Mission to the United Nations, as a Ministry Policy Analyst with the Prime Minister’s Office, as a Research Analyst at the UAE Embassy in DC, and as an Education Policy Researcher at Tamkeen (UAE Strategic Affairs Authority).

H.E. Shamma obtained her Masters of Public Policy with Distinction from the University of Oxford in 2015. She was the first UAE Rhodes Scholar and ranked within the top of her class. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Finance at New York Abu Dhabi in 2014, ranking within the top 5% of NYUAD’s class of 2014. She has completed several coursework at the research center for leadership on multi-sector partnerships at NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, at NYU Stern School of Business and at Yale University.

Saeed Al Nazari

Chief Strategy Officer

Saeed Al Nazari is Director of Youth Projects and Initiatives at the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, Team Member at the Arab Youth Center and the first Global Innovation Ambassador for the Global Innovation Management Institute and the President of Global Happiness Organization in UAE. Al Nazari Managed 50+ National Strategic Projects. He worked on Projects Management in The Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He also works as consultant to some enterprises bringing with him extensive experience in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Human Resources, Corporate Happiness, Strategic Media and Projects Management.

Al Nazari was chosen as a Federal Member in the first Emirates Youth Council, Global Shaper in the World Economic Forum, Board Director in the International Social Media Club’s Board of Directors in the UAE, Board Vice President in the UAE’s International Institute of Business Analysis’s Board of Directors and Board Member of the Alumni Board Committee in Dubai Men’s College. He is also a member of the World Student Organizing Community (WSOC).

Al Nazari studied Masters in Leadership & Entrepreneurship, Bachelor in Business Administration from Higher Colleges of Technology and Foreign Policy from New York University. Al Nazari is also a graduate of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Scholars Program at New York University, a unique international leadership program. He is also a graduate of the Promising Leaders Program in the Republic of Mauritius.

Al Nazari was awarded Annual Mubadala Youth Award, Emirates Award for GCC Youth award from Emirates Foundation, Innovation in Society Award from Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince’s Office, Annual Director Leadership Award & Annual Business Program Award from Higher Colleges of Technology, Social Media Award from Du and many other Entrepreneurship awards from different entities. He is also a high-rank winner in many competitions such as Young Entrepreneurs Competition and Emirates Drones for Good competition.

Hazza Bani Malek

Associate Project Manager

Hazza Bani Malek, Associate Project Manager at the Arab Youth Center. Previously worked as a Nuclear Reactor Operator at the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation. And been involved in the Research and Development field at NASA, Masdar Power Co. and Masdar institute.

He graduated from Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Scholars Program and Young Future Energy Leaders from New York University and Masdar Institute respectively.

Hazza holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Higher Colleges of Technology.

Mira AlMarzooqi

Project Manager

Mira Al Marzooqi is a project manager in the Arab Youth Center. A previous Emirates Youth Council member, she has always beenpassionate about youth’s portfolio. She graduated from the University of Paris Sorbonne Abu Dhabi with a bachelor of international law and political science, a master 1 in international public law and a master 2 in sustainable development law and public policies.

Omar Kandil

Associate Consultant

Omar Kandil joined the Arab Youth Center on 04/06/2017 as an Associate Consultant. He has more than 5 years of experience in the fields of consulting, entrepreneurship and public policy research; most recently as Program Manager at Flat6Labs Abu Dhabi.

Omar Kandil holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the American University in Cairo.

May Mostafa

Associate Consultant

May Mostafa joined the Arab Youth Center on 11 June 2017 as Associate Consultant.She has more than five years of experience in the field of communication and public relations; most recently as Senior AccountManager in APCO Worldwide.

May Mostafa holds a bachelor of science degree in Business Management from UAE University, and master of science degree in HR Management from New York University. In her role at the Arab Youth Center, she is responsible of content development and communication alongside management of events and initiatives.

Omar Al Grnas

Senior Research Analyst

Omar joined the Arab Youth Center on 02 July 2017 as a Senior Research Analyst. Omar has more than two years of experience in architectural engineering, most recently as a project manager in Architecture.

He holds a Master's degree in architecture from the University of the New School of Engineering.

Moammer Jaber

Creative Consultant

Moammer Jaber works as Associate project manager at the Prime Minister’s office , Moammer has vast experience in digital production, he worked in variety projects in private and governmental projects in digital design . And creative production ,previously he have worked in civil engineering and he worked in several positions.

Moammer Jaber has Bachelor degree in Civil and Environmental engineering from University of Sharjah.

Moammer has 13 years of experience in Graphic and Motion Design, Moammer passionate about digital arts, innovation and creative ideas. Currently working with Youth Hub team.

Wail Al Hamid

Associate Consultant

Wail recently joined the Arab Youth Centre as an Associate Consultant. Wail holds a master of fine arts degree in motion graphics and design from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, as well a bachelor degree in Interior Design.

Wail have more than seven years experience in the realm of visual design and motion graphics, trained and worked in leading production studious in Los Angeles, and directed many broadcasted motion graphics videos for big clients and high-ranking government entities across the gulf region, and North America.

Before joining the Arab Youth Centre, Wail worked at Misk Foundation as a motion graphics specialist branding the organization social media and corporate videos.

Taghreed AlMadani

Research Analyst

Taghreed is a research analyst at the Arab Youth Center. She received her BA from the American University of Sharjah in 2016 from the Faculty of Science and Arts, specializing in journalism and mass communication

Taghreed served as the Head of Public Relations for the Saudi Cultural Club in 2014-2016

Moreover, she participated in the Media and Technology Conference at Maltepe University in Turkey, Istanbul in March 2015 with a research that was selected to discuss social media and its impact on Saudi Youth between 2010 - 2015

During her studies, she worked as a radio presenter and sound engineer at MBC FM, part of the MBC group, and managed the social network pages of the channel

Al Madani has experience in her field, journalism, where she received intensive training at the Thomson Reuters news agency in Dubai 2015, where she published several news stories, followed by another intensive training at Bloomberg Dubai office, during which she also published many news and media reports.

Taghreed participated in the program of the King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Talent and Creativity. With her team, they won the best medical invention for the treatment of foot diseases in Jeddah in 2009
